A Day With Former Mayor John Street.....................

Today I went to the GladFelter Lecture Hall. I went here because former mayor John Street was scheduled to make an important visit and reach out to people in a short, comical yet important manner. My first impression of the event was that it would have been a bit boring and everyone would either have been loud and subordinate or quiet and inactive. After the first twenty minutes into the program my whole outlook changed drastically. John Street opened up and presented himself in a lively and comical manner while still sliding in life lessons to try and keep the crown on track, which was the whole point of today's event. John street collected a hat full of names and people were picked at random to participate in a handful of activities and most of them either won prizes for winning the challenge, participating or last but not least having the their name called out of the hat. Prizes ranged from money (1 dollar up to about 20 dollars) and also various articles of clothing from the Democratic National Convention ranging from a long sleeved shirt to a hooded shirt. John Street then closed the speech with a very important quote "A Man or a Woman who throws a stone at every barking Dog will never stay focused".
